Abstract

This study is focused on the use of a miniaturized impactor to monitor common anions in urban aerosol. The personal cascade impactor sampler was used for 24h sampling (between 12th and 25th January 2016) of aerosol in 5 fractions (2.5–10 μm, 1.0–2.5 μm, 0.5–1.0 μm, 0.25–0.5 μm and <0.2 μm) on filters, consequently extracted by ultrasonic bath. The target anions (fluorides, chlorides, nitrites, sulphates, nitrates and phosphates) in extracts were determined by ion chromatography.
